Whether it’s those catchy Target commercials that have you singing all day or logos like Starbucks coffee houses that invoke instant recognition, if your company doesn’t have brand awareness, it’s never going to be part of the big leagues. And in order to be a big player in business you’ve got to have someone who knows the ins and outs, and the ropes from A to Z in terms of building your brand.

Someone like e-commerce marketing entrepreneur Alan Lazar who defied the odds and proved if you put your mind to it, you can do almost anything. Born and raised in Los Angeles to an Iranian mother and an Assyrian father, Lazar is a now a 7-figure earner specializing in branded e-commerce products. He is known in the industry as ‘The Man Behind the Brand.’

Lazar, born in 1983, dropped out of college to support his mother and brother, but said, this didn’t stop him from making a success of his life. “I worked as a telemarketer to support my family after my parents divorced,” he recalled. “After 4 years, I had a call center with 330 employees in Delhi, India. After that, I transitioned into Internet marketing and traffic arbitrage doing 7-figure months.”

Today he works with info products and helps clients including Tai Lopez, Grant Cardone, Lewis Howes, Dean Graziosi, and Ed Myette grow their individual brands. Lazar said he chose his current career because he believes if someone is good at paid marketing, they can partner with any type of business. He said, “everyone at some point needs clients such as surgeons, lawyers, dentists, etc., who need marketing representation.”

“I’m known as ‘The Man Behind the Brand’ because I was an early investor in companies like outstanding foods such as Pig Out Chips, a plant-based chip made from mushrooms that taste like bacon that is currently in Whole Foods and other large stores,” he added.

He said he also was an investor in an App called ‘Hundy,’ which helps people borrow cash from other investors. “Because of my early investing, I was able to generate hundreds of millions of dollars for clients,” he said.

Lazar who has no kids and is single shares his time between LA and Miami and said faith is very important to him. “The idea of reaching big audiences is to help people know more about God,” he said. “I gave the Instagram handle bible for free to the largest bible App company after a bidding war in the multiple six figures.” Why? “I wanted it to go to good use,” he said.

In 2018, Lazar did an interview with Tim Storey, on his Facebook show ‘World Shakers’and shared some of his revelations and tips for those looking to be successful in anything they do. During the interview, Lazar described himself as someone who is an investor in people, and businesses. He said he started in the business by approaching his partner Paul, a leader in Internet marketing and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Lazar who bought a home for someone before he bought one for himself said he had a simple upbringing and always knew he would be successful because he envisioned and set his goals early. He also said it helps if you have someone praying for you behind the scenes like his mother. “I’d say if someone asked me what my ‘secret sauce’ is, I’d say my mother because she has always prayed for me.”
