THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Temperatures across much of Northern Ontario are going to climb into the high twenties and near 30 degrees today.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Fort Hope – Lansdowne House –
  • Ogoki – Marten Falls
  • Pikangikum – Poplar Hill – MacDowell
  • Pickle Lake – Cat Lake
  • Armstrong – Auden – Wabakimi Park
  • Gull Bay – Black Sturgeon Lake
  • Red Lake – Ear Falls

The first heat event of the season is expected today as a warm air mass moves over parts of Northern Ontario from the United States.

Maximum daytime temperatures are expected to be near 30 degrees Celsius today and minimum temperature near 18 degrees Celsius tonight.

Cooler air is expected to arrive Sunday afternoon after the passage of a slow moving cold front. Ogoki Post may reach 30 degrees Celsius again on Sunday if the cold front reaches the community late in the day.
