Omar Al Mohammed is an international model, who has recently launched his own brand of Luxury voice-controlled smart homes in the Middle East. Born with a curious mind and the spark of creativity, he has achieved a great deal having dabbled in various endeavours. Whether it be a professional career or his personal progression, he himself has been a stern believer in personal. His burning desire is to put Bahrain in the limelight and to make the world recognize his country as one that is evolving constantly with innovation at its center or as he likes to call it – an innovation hub. Omar believes firmly in his vision and that is precisely what led him to conceptualize the smart home project.

It all started with the spark of an idea when Omar noticed an option to use GPS with voice commands.  He pondered on how technology has made it possible for our voices to be transmitted through the internet.  He fondly remembered how Iron Man inspired him to explore the realm of technology. Omar purchased an apartment in a highly sought-after area of New Juffair, within the capital of Bahrain – Manama.  He created several voice-based innovations within his home. From seamless chiffon curtains to a video doorbell, a robot vacuum cleaner, wallpaper TV, smart coffee machine and several other gadgets which he designed himself, are all fully voice controlled.  In addition to technology, he has also designed the interior of the apartment and features his own photography as wall art. This was his first step towards achieving his goal, post which he reached the headlines of leading newspapers, business and property magazines across the globe

Omar considers himself the ambassador of Bahrain and believes that his smart home project would serve as a beacon to the world, that Bahrain is indeed a power to be reckoned with in the realm of technology, IOT, and innovation in the future. Omar also said “Bahrain needs to pick up the pace on innovation” and that he believes actions speak louder than words. He continues to work on other projects to further spearhead the cause including ‘The Glass’ and ‘The O.’ Bahrain is poised to become the innovation hub that Omar Al Mohammed has always dreamt of.
