THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay-Superior North New Democratic Party held its nomination meetings to declare Anna Betty Achneepineskum the Federal Candidate for the Electoral District Association.
Over two nomination meetings held Saturday, May 25th, 2019 in Nipigon at the Arts Centre on Sunday, May 26th, 2019 in Thunder Bay at Magnus Theatre, members of the TBSN NDP gathered and acclaimed Achneepineskum their choice for the 2019 Federal Election.
Achneepineskum, former Deputy Grand Chief of Nishnawbe Aski Nation, has said she wants to put our future generations as her priority for the up coming Federal Election. She wants to put the focus on ensuring our young people in Thunder Bay-Superior North and across Canada to have the tools for mental health and suicide prevention. Achneepineskum wants to work on Youth retention so that the young professionals in TBSN and Northern Ontario want to stay and work here and open businesses here. These, along with improving the lives of seniors and creating job opportunities in Thunder Bay-Superior North are where Achneepineskum believes she and the NDP are best suited to get the job done.
Anna Betty Achneepineskum will challenge sitting MP Patty Hajdu and Conservative candidate Frank Pullia.
