THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – Quebec wins its 2nd of 2 games, in today’s Telus Cup action, while handing Halifax their first loss of the tournament, who now stand with a 1-1 record.

The game started off with the 1st period that was dead even in goals at 1, and shots on goal at 13 each. Isaac Belliveau led off the scoring on the power play at 1:32. Halifax would tie the game on their own power play, 7 minutes later.

Quebec got on the board in the 2nd period, even faster than the first, with one at the 35-second mark on a power play, this time by Alexandre Doucet, which proved to be the winner. Justin Robidas would add to the lead later in the period at 14:08.

The 3rd period was held scoreless, despite Quebec outshooting Halifax 12-2 in the final frame.

Shots on goal ended at 35-28 in favour of Quebec.
