THUNDER BAY – If you see something suspicious, call 911.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Sherrington Drive following reports of a robbery just after 10:30 pm EDT on Monday, April 22.
When police arrived they learned a woman had noticed a man going through vehicles in a nearby parking lot. The woman questioned the man about what he was doing, at which point the man left but returned with a knife and demanded the woman empty her pockets.
Less than 20 minutes later officers located a male matching the suspect’s description crawling underneath a vehicle in the Athens Drive area.
As a result of further investigation, the male was identified and arrested.
Officers later learned the male was wanted by the Thunder Bay Police Service on other unrelated charges.
Scott Randall WALFORD, 22, of Thunder Bay, has been charged with Robbery and Probation Order Non-Compliance.
He appeared in court Tuesday morning and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date. None of the charges have been proven in court.
