Dryden – OPP Traffic Stop Results in Cash Seizure

DRYDEN – Details are not complete yet, but Dryden Ontario Provincial Police have made a seizure of cash as a result of a traffic stop. The OPP report that “On April 18, 2019, at approximately 5:00 pm CDT officers from the Ontario Provincial Police, Dryden Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 in Machin Township, just West of Dryden.”

As a result of the stop, Police seized a large quantity of Canadian Currency. This incident is still under investigation and Dryden OPP officers are being assisted by the OPP Northwest Region Crime Unit and the Northwest Region Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB).

It is possible that illegal drugs are involved but the OPP is remaining very tight-lipped over the investigation so far.
