TERRACE BAY – On April 09, 2019 at approximately 3:30 pm officers from the Ontario Provincial Police, Schreiber Detachment were called to a local business advising that a person had just used a counterfeit American $100 bill to pay for gasoline. Police were able to identify two suspects and a vehicle on video.
A short time later the suspect vehicle and persons were located.
During the investigation, one suspect provided police with a fake Ontario Drivers licence. The investigation found the vehicle to have been stolen. Both suspects were found to be in possession of forged identification documents including Drivers licences and Firearm Possession Acquisition licences, cheques stolen from the Stratford, Ontario area, counterfeit American currency and prohibited weapons including brass knuckles and switchblades.
Both persons were also found to be in possession of 3 firearms, 2 crossbows and numerous replica firearms. Also located was a quantity of methamphetamine and LSD (Acid) controlled substances.
Twenty-five year old female Raven BERGEN of Stratford Ontario is charged with;
- CC 452(a) – Uttering Counterfeit Money
- CC 450(b) – Possessing Counterfeit Money
- CC 380(1)(b) – Fraud Under $5000
- CC 129(a) – Obstruct Peace Officer
- CC 368(1)(b) – Cause or attempt to use a forged document
- CC 368(1)(d) – Possession of a forged document with intent x 2
- CC 145(3) – Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- CC 92(2) – Possession of a prohibited weapon
- CDSA 4(1) – Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- CDSA 4(1) – Possession of a Schedule III Substance – LSD
- CC 91(1) – Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 3
- CC 88 – Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
Forty-eight year old male Kenneth MACDONALD of St. Marys Ontario is charged with;

- CC 92(2) – Possession of a prohibited weapon x 2
- CDSA 4(1) – Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- CC 145(3) – Fail to Comply with Undertaking x 2
- CC 91(1) – Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 3
- CC 88 – Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
Both accused have been remanded into custody. None of the charges have been proven in court.
