THUNDER BAY – Hammarskjold High School has closed again today due to another threat. Superior Collegiate is also closed.
Due to an anonymous threat received by Thunder Bay Police, Hammarskjold High School and Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute will be closed for the entire day today, Tuesday, April 9. 2019.
Buses will be returning students home.
All efforts will be made to reopen on Wednesday, April 10.
Anyone with knowledge about the specifics of the threat is urged to contact police directly at the dedicated tip line, 684-5001.
Update: 12:03 pm: Hold and Secure has been LIFTED for St. Pius X Elementary School, Gateway, Bishop E.Q. Jennings Senior Elementary School, Corpus Christi Elementary School, St. Bernard Elementary School, Bishop Gallagher Senior Elementary School and St. Margaret Elementary School

This is the eleventh threat to Hammarskjold and the first time a threat has been issued to Superior CVI.
