THUNDER BAY – At 10:30 am Monday April 08, 2019, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a structural fire on Crown Street.

The first arriving Officer spoke to the homeowner on the scene who indicated that her fire alarm was activated and there was smoke in the basement.

A rapid attack by the first arriving crew brought the fire under control quickly and saved considerable damage to the home. A total of five Pumpers, an Aerial Ladder, and a Command unit were dispatched to the scene.

There were no injuries to report.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue would like to remind all homeowners to keep combustibles well away from any fuel burning and heating appliances
