OTTAWA – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has apologized for how he treated protesters last night who attended a Liberal fundraiser to showcase the problems of mercury poisoning facing Grassy Narrows First Nation.

Trudeau stated that “He always tries to treat protesters with respect but I didn’t do that last night. Last night I lacked respect towards them.”

The video of the Prime Minister’s comments, “Thank you for your donation” was posted on social media and later reported on national media.
