THE PAS – In the early morning of March 24, 2019, The Pas and Opaskwayak RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, at a residence on 3rd Street East in The Pas.
RCMP officers seized over 9 grams of methamphetamine, Canadian currency, brass knuckles, knives, a baseball bat, numerous cell phones and various drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation the following charges were laid:
Savannah Cowley, 34, of Opaskwayak First Nation, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Roger Dram, 48, of Winnipeg, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Failing to Comply with Conditions x 2.
Those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes, and communities. The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent.
