THUNDER BAY – Icebreaking efforts in Thunder Bay continued on Sunday with the Canadian Coast Guard vessel Samuel Risley breaking ice in the harbour.

The ice is up-to eighteen inches deep, but that is far less than the ice of up to ten feet think that the Icebreaker encountered at Whitefish Point on the way to Thunder Bay.
