THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to a February robbery of a variety store.
Officers were dispatched to Cressman’s Variety in the 300 block of Shuniah Street just after 8:15 pm EST on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, for a reported robbery in progress.
Officers learned a male suspect had robbed the store at knifepoint and demanded money, cigarettes and lottery tickets from an employee at the counter. The suspect exited the store before fleeing in a black SUV.
The suspect is described as a male standing about 5’8” tall with a skinny build. He had brown scruffy facial hair and was wearing a dark baseball cap with “LTL Contracting” in white lettering on it, a blue scarf around his mouth and blue jeans.
