Eagle River Man Faces Slew of Charges in Dryden

DRYDEN – NEWS – Frances Charles PERREAULT, age 36 of Eagle River, ON is currently in custody and facing criminal charges of Assault Police, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Comply with Court Orders, Possession of Stolen Property, and Theft Under $5000 as a result of two police investigations.

First, on March 12, 2019, at 2:30 pm Dryden Police Service responded to an alarm at Causally Hip where PERREAULT was identified as leaving the store without paying for an item. Police attempted to locate PERREAULT with negative results at the time of the call.

Then on March 13, 2019, at 1:45 am, while on patrol within the City of Dryden, police observed PERREAULT on King Street.

While police attempted to confront the accused, he attempted to flee from officers.

Police caught up with PERREAULT near a fuel station located on Government Road. Perreault then allegedly attempted to douse himself with fuel. When police took control of the accused, PERREAULT allegedly assaulted one of the officers.

PERREAULT is currently remanded into custody for a bail hearing scheduled in Sioux Lookout on March 15, 2019.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
