Threat – Hold and Secure Lifted
THUNDER BAY – Updated – The Lakehead Public School Board is reporting that due to an anonymous threat received this morning that Hammarskjold High School is closed today.

The hold and secures that were in place as a precaution, have now been lifted at all schools. Hammarskjold remains closed for the day. More information will be communicated as it becomes available. #LPStb #tbay

Due to an anonymous threat received by Thunder Bay Police, Hammarskjold High School will be closed for the entire day today, Friday, February 22.
As of 09:02 am all schools in Thunder Bay are in a hold and secure mode. This includes all Catholic Schools in the city.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to Hammarskjold High School just before 8 am on this morning. Officers were dispatched in response to an anonymous tip about a threat.
Police are now at the scene and investigating the threat. If you have any information that could assist police please call 684-1200.
All Lakehead Public Schools, elementary and secondary, are currently in a hold and secure. All students and staff will continue the day in a safe learning environment. #LPStb #tbay

All efforts will be made to reopen on Monday, Friday 25. Students already picked by will be returned home.
Students without home keys will be dropped off at Superior CVI.
