EXTREME COLD WARNINGS – Far North in Ontario

FORT SEVERN – WEATHER – Back into the Extreme Cold Zone for the far north in Ontario.

Environment Canada says that a multi-day period of very extreme wind chill values are in the forecast.

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • Fort Severn
  • Big Trout Lake – Kasabonika
  • Sachigo Lake – Bearskin Lake
  • Peawanuck
  • Webequie

Wind chill values near minus 45 are expected later tonight into Monday morning and are expected again on Tuesday night. There is a possibility that the cold air combined with wind will give an extended period of extreme wind chill values into the weekend.
