Bryce Young – Play It Again Sports Player of the Week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that Red Lake Miners forward Bryce Young has been named its Play It Again Sports Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 20.

In three outings last week, the 19-year-old from The Pas, Man., scored twice in each of them and amassed nine points in total for the Miners while helping them pick-up five of a possible six points in the league standings.

With markers in four straight contests and points in six in succession, Young continues to pace all SIJHL skaters in goals, points and power-play tallies with 42, 67 and 11 respectively.

Also earning consideration for player of the week honours was Ryan Mignault, (F) Thunder Bay North Stars; Jacob Anthony, (G) Dryden GM Ice Dogs; Blake Nelson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Brett Hahkala, (F) Fort Frances Lakers and Garrett Wojcicki, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers.
