Thunder Bay – SPORTS – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce an early bird season ticket special for the 2019 Northwoods League regular season.  Fans can purchase a season ticket for all 36 home games at Port Arthur Stadium for $249.00 + tax from now thru February 28th.  The early bird special lowers the ticket price to $7.82/per game and includes an overall cost savings of over $150.00 from the walk-up adult ticket price from the 2018 season.

The Border Cats also unveiled its new ownership group during an off-season team party on January 5that Sleeping Giant Brewery.  Grand Slam Sports & Entertainment Inc. will consist of a five-member board including president David Valente, vice president Bryan Graham, vice president Matt Pearson (Sleeping Giant Brewery), treasurer Dan Nucci (Bennett’s Bakery), and secretary Dean Woloschuk (Primary Foto Source).  Other members of the investment group are Kelly Mallon (Mallon’s Corporate Impressions), Jack Mallon (Royal LePage/Lannon Realty), Mike Hannusch (LTL Group), Mike Fonso (Play It Again Sports), Brian MacIvor (MacIvor Scrimshaw LLP), Luis Alves (Superior Foods), Anthony LeBlanc (Maritime Football), Terry Jones (Little Caesars Pizza), James Ward (Happy Time Tours), Rory Cava (Cav-Tal Foods Limited), Vince Mirabelli (Remax/First Choice Realty),  Tyler Dolcetti (Dominion Motors), Parker Jones (Tom Jones Corporation), Eric Pietsch (Pietsch Group), Dean Farmer (Superior Shores-Sun Life Financial), Kevin Kozar (Kozar Engineering) as well as local businessman Gordon Crompton.
