WASHAHO CREE NATION – WEATHER – Extremely cold weather continues in the far north.

5:19 AM EST Sunday 30 December 2018
Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • Fort Severn / Washaho Cree Nation

Wind chill values of minus 45 to minus 50 are occurring early this morning.

Wind chill values will moderate later this morning as temperatures rise. However, extreme wind chill values will occur overnight into Monday morning.

This pattern of extreme cold wind chill values during the overnight and morning hours could recur daily for the next several days.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
