Colder Weather and More Snow Coming

THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – The weather alerts for Thunder Bay and Superior West have ended. Environment Canada says that we can expect periods of snow and local blowing snow ending this morning and then a 30 percent chance of flurries later this morning.

The Weather Service says we can expect clearing skies by this afternoon.

Winds will be north 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light late this afternoon.

The temperature will fall to minus 15c this afternoon, with the wind chill making it feel like minus 14 in the morning and minus 23 in the afternoon.

For tonight, skies will be clear. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. The low will be minus 26 with the wind chill making it feel like minus 23 in the evening and minus 31 overnight. There is a risk of frostbite.

Across Thunder Bay, City Roads Crews are out plowing streets and sidewalks. The latest from City Hall is that the main roads are being plowed first, and side streets and sidewalks should be completed by Tuesday.
