Public Support Sought to Reverse Dease Pool Decision

THUNDER BAY – Efforts to re-build Dease Pool are continuing. A petition to save Dease Pool is circulating around town at 11 different locations.

Members of the public are also being asked to hang a bow on the fence at Dease Pool as a public show of support for the facility, which the group trying to reverse what they stated at a public meeting was a decision made by council without sufficient information.

These are as follows.

3. Twice as Nice Thrift Store ( N. May St.)
4. Sit’n Pretty
5. Velvet Rope Floral  (111 S May St.)
6. The Hub Baazar
7. K and A gas Bar
8. Chapman’s Gas Bar
9. Bannon’s Gas Bar
10. T.L.P. Gas Bar
11. Mrs. L. Confectioney ( corner of Marks and Cameron St.)
A meeting at the Mary J. L. Black Library will begin at 6:30 pm with the doors opening at 5:30 pm on January 3, 2018. The public is asked to come early as a full house is expected.
There is also a rally planned for Friday, January 4, 2019 at 6:30 PM – 7 PM at Dease Pool, 307 Vickers St North.

The petition to save Dease Pool will be available for the public to sign at this meeting.
