Marten Falls FN Christmas Party 2018

Marten Falls FN Christmas Party 2018Thunder Bay, ON – Marten Falls/Ogoki Post First Nation rejoiced eleven days before Christmas in our beautiful city of Thunder Bay, Ontario the gifts of joy bringing happiness and families together full of good food, smiles and laughter. A gift card was given for each family along with door prizes for numerous shopping stores by Chief Bruce Achneepineskum and Council with contented members assisting with the festivities.

An honour of celebration for their members in our City as some First Nations who do live here, during this eventful time of year gives all the members a sense of belonging.

Christmas cheer and good news for the upcoming year was shared at the Polish Hall in downtown Port Arthur with approximately 200 members attending.

Everybody was welcoming, and containers of leftover food were given to all the families to carry home was truly a treat.  My grandchildren, who are members, walked away feeling like we were on clouds and part of something good that instilled hope, love and a sense of family. This is what Christmas is about. Your kindness and hospitality will be remembered.
