Police Investigating Sudden Death Scene at Chapples Park

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have an area in Chapples Park closed off to the public this afternoon. Police are telling media that they are investigating a crime scene.

Police are not allowing vehicles into Chapples Park at this time.

As the information has come in this afternoon police are saying that this is now an investigation of a sudden death.

Officers were dispatched to the park just after 11:30 am on Sunday, December 9 after a passerby saw what they believed might be a body.

Police are holding the scene and requesting the public stay away from the area while the investigation continues.

The investigation is in its very early stages and no other details can be confirmed at this time.
