Waterfront Skating Rink Open for the Season

Winterfest skating pondTHUNDER BAY – LIVING – A sure sign of winter.  The waterfront skating rink at Prince Arthur’s Landing is now officially open for the season. Residents and visitors of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come to the waterfront to enjoy the rink and the many other winter activities and amenities available this season.

“We are excited to have the rink open for the community to enjoy during the winter months ahead,” said Carlee Hakenson, Events & Waterfront Services Developer. “It’s a great place to go for a family outing, an active lunch break, or to have fun with friends.”

Along with the popular skating rink, there are many other activities to participate in at the waterfront this winter. Visit Prince Arthur’s Landing to enjoy the scenic trails, programs at the Baggage Building Arts Centre, Winter FunDay activities every Sunday from Dec. 30 to March 17, and the City’s signature Family Day event in February, SnowDay.

The Skating Rink and Water Garden Pavilion are open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.
