Thunder Bay – Charges Laid in ATM Thefts

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service officers have made arrests in connection with an August theft of an automatic teller machine.

On Aug. 25, 2018, Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to reports the theft of an ATM in the 400 block of Northern Avenue. Through the course of an investigation police later identified and located two suspects.

Andrew Gary John PATOLA, 31, of Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with Theft Over $5,000.

John James HEWLETT, 55, of Thunder Bay, was arrested and charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Break and Enter and Committing.

Both were remanded into custody with future court dates.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
