KENORA – The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged two people with Impaired Driving offences over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, at approximately 9:20 pm, police conducted a vehicle stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation in Keewatin. Police spoke with the driver of the vehicle and determined he had been consuming alcohol. He was arrested at the scene and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, 2020-year-old Mason MORRISON of Kenora has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired (Alcohol) contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood s. 253(1)(b) CC.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on November 29, 2018, to answer to the charges.
On Sunday, November 11, 2018, at approximately 12:00 am, police conducted a vehicle stop on Veteran’s Drive in the City of Kenora for a Highway Traffic Act violation. Police determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested at the scene and transported for tests.
As a result of this investigation, 20 year old Blake LAMIRANDE of Kenora has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired (Alcohol) contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood s. 253(1)(b) CC.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on November 29, 2018, to answer to the charges.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
