
DRYDEN – Police across Northwestern Ontario have been busy taking illegal drugs off the streets. In Dryden on November 07, 2018, at approximately 8:30 pm a combined effort involving officers from the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Community Street Crime Unit, and the Dryden Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a Dryden residence.
Following the raid, police seized 31 grams of Methamphetamine, drug trafficking materials, Canadian currency, and a prohibited weapon.
Two individuals were taken into custody.
William WALMSLEY, 39 years old of Dryden, ON was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule I Substance-Cocaine, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.
Katlynd CRONLEY-POLKINGHORNE, 29 years old of Wabigoon, ON was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance-Cocaine and Fail to comply with a Recognizance.
Both accused are being held in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on the 14 November 2018.
None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.
