Police Arrest Four Following Secord Street Raid

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the assistance of the OPP executed a search warrant on an apartment in the 100 block of Secord Street at about 4:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

During the search, Police officers seized a loaded handgun, 20 grams of a substance believed to be Fentanyl, 14 grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine, six grams of cocaine and more than $11,000 in cash.

As a result of that search and an ongoing investigation, police have arrested and charged four people.

Juquan GOULBOURNE, 23, of Toronto, Newton Dominique MAMAKEESIC, 41, of Thunder Bay, Donna Chantel WABASSE, 19, of Thunder Bay and Orane Warwyck WEST, 36 of Toronto, have all been charged with:

• Possession of Schedule 1 Substance for Purpose of Trafficking x 2
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
• Careless Storage of a Firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

GOULBOURNE and MAMAKEESIC were also charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance. Police have also confirmed that GOULBOURNE and WEST are known members of a Toronto-area gang.

All accused appeared in court today and have been remanded into custody with future court dates.

None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.
