THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service is looking for two suspects involved in the early morning assault and robbery of a cab driver.
Uniformed Officers responded to the reported incident at about 3:15 am on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, on McKenzie Street between Pruden and Finlayson Streets.
The cab driver had picked up two males at Brodie Street near Miles Street. The passengers told the driver their destination was Rowand Street off McKenzie Street. The assault took place between Pruden and Finlayson Streets, and both suspects were last seen fleeing on foot eastbound on McKenzie Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The first suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s standing about 6’1” tall. He had short hair and wore a dark ball cap and dark coat at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s standing about 6’0”. He wore a white hoodie or sweater at the time of the incident.
The cab driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
