THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police made arrests on Dease Street yesterday afternoon. Several people were taken into custody.

In a statement from Thunder Bay Police, “On October 24, 2018 members of the Thunder Bay Police Service Intelligence Unit with the assistance of the Emergency Tactical Unit executed a search warrant on a residence located on the first block of Dease Street. When police entered the residence a total of eight people were found to be inside, two of which were youths. A small amount of crack cocaine, contaminated paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking and approximately $10,000 to $15,000 in Canadian currency were seized. Five people were arrested and charged.”

Charges Laid in Dease Street Drug Bust

Yaqub Mohamed, 25 years old of Scarborough Ontario a member of the Crips Street Gang is charged with the following offences:

Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime over $5,000
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Anthony Gillespie, 24 years old of Toronto Ontario is charged with the following offences:

Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime over $5,000
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Lorraine Chief, 51 years old and Jeffrey Pearreault, 45 years old of Thunder Bay is charged with the following offences:

Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime over $5,000
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Walter Baxter, 27 years old of Thunder Bay is charged with the following offences:

Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime over $5,000
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Breach of Probation

All person appeared in court this morning and were remanded into custody.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
