THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – Lori Paras is seeking a seat on Thunder Bay City Council as a Councillor at Large.
Paras is a businesswoman and entrepreneur. She operates “The HUB” on Victoria Avenue in the downtown Fort William business district.
Lori sat down with NetNewsLedger to share some of the important issues facing Thunder Bay in the upcoming election.
Paras says that one of the reasons she is running is after seeing the city “drop the ball” in her words over the efforts to revitalize the Fort William Downtown.
During the campaign, Paras and her team have been door-knocking. One of the points that Paras raises in this interview is that neighbourhoods like Limbrick in the Northwood ward need special attention and care. She shared that while door-knocking in Limbrick many of the residents were actually scared to answer the door.
