Suspect in Custody over Assault with Weapon and Breach of Probation

Over eighty arrests over the weekend.
Two suspects are in custody

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that staff at the Dawson Street Walmart at County Fair Plaza confronted an alleged shoplifter just after 7:00 pm on Thursday September 27, 2018.

It was reported to Thunder Bay Police that a male had threatened staff members with an edged weapon before fleeing the store.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

Uniformed Patrol officers responded and the individual was located in the LCBO near the Landmark Hotel.

The suspect was arrested without incident.

22-year-old Cody Barnabus BEARDY has been charged with Assault With a Weapon and Breach of Probation. He remains in custody with a court date of October 2, 2018.
