DRYDEN – The Dryden Police Service is asking for the help of the community after a truck was stolen and crashed into a garage.

On September 28, 2018 at approximately 2:49 am, police received a call reporting that a male wearing a light grey hoodie entered a home on Pitt Ave, removed the truck keys and drove away with a 2008 Blue GMC Sierra. A second call was received from a resident on Dingwall Parkway advising that the truck drove into their yard striking the home and continued east bound on Parkdale Road. A third caller indicated that the truck drove through a garage on Parkdale Road where it came to rest. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

The Dryden Police is asking anyone who heard or saw anything near Pitt Ave and Parkdale to come forward. We are also asking residents in this area, should they have any type of home video security systems to check any footage and to contact the police.

Although there were no injuries reported in this incident, the damage in estimated in the thousands.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident, is asked to contact the Dryden Police Service at 807-223-3281 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com
