Thunder Bay Police Arrest Two Males from Southern Ontario

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police have a pair of males from Southern Ontario in custody. Police report that a patrol officer stopped a vehicle after it failed to stop at a stop sign on Egan Street.

The officer spoke to the two male occupants and received conflicting information about the ownership of the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle located a stolen credit card and the two males were arrested.

Follow up investigation revealed that both males provided false names in the original police contact.

Both males appeared in court this morning and have been remanded into custody on the following charges:

Zachary Benjamin Collins – 25-years-old of Scarborough, Ontario
· Obstruct Peace Officer
· Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Nicholas Reid – 26-years-old of Scarborough, Ontario
· Obstruct Peace Officer
· Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
· Breach of Recognizance
