38 Wabigoon Lake Road Service Update

DRYDEN – As a precaution,  Hutchison Bus Lines DR30 will not service the Wabigoon Lake Rd/Larson Bay area until we receive confirmation from the Ministry of Transportation that the bridge is safe for a loaded school bus to cross.

Effective on Monday, September 17, school bus service will be pulled back but will be available at 38 Wabigoon Lake Road which is the first driveway on the right heading in on the south side as you turn in from Hwy 502.  Another communication will be sent out when we have the times for AM/PM.

The Fedorchuk family has graciously allowed the school bus to turn around in their driveway.

We ask families to respect their property and not go into their driveway and make room for them to get in and out during bus times.

I have been in communication with the Chair of the Local Roads Board and he is working with MTO.   His communication with MTO has indicated that the bridge is safe to cross, however, the Consortium would like to communicate directly with MTO to confirm this, given the concerns which have been expressed by families.

We recognize that this is an inconvenience for families however we want to make sure that the safety of your kids and the driver come first.

Thank you for your patience and please look for further communication regarding the times.
