Vehicle Fails to Stop at Pigeon River Border Crossing

OPP Take Man into Custody

THUNDER BAY – On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at approximately 9:11 am, a black passenger vehicle failed to stop at Pigeon River Canada Customs Border Crossing.

Members of the Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located the vehicle on Highway 61 and conducted a traffic stop.  The vehicle stopped, the male left his vehicle and was subsequently apprehended.

There were no injuries during the incident and Highway 61 remains closed at this time.

Forensic Identification Services and North West Region Crime Unit are involved in the investigation and further information will be released as it becomes available.
