THUNDER BAY – Maadaadizi 2018 ~ The Aboriginal Cultural & Support Services at Lakehead University, in conjunction with Confederation College, Eabametoong First Nation, Matawa Post-Secondary Education, Northern Nishnawbe Education Council, Oshki-Pimache-O-Win; the Wenjack Education Institute, and 7 Generations Education Institute have again planned and organized Maadaadizi 2018.

Maadaadizi which means he/she starts a journey in the Ojibwe language.

It’s our joint post-secondary Aboriginal Student Orientation being held at Marina Park on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

We have set aside this special day to welcome post-secondary Aboriginal students and their families to their respective institutions and to the City of Thunder Bay.

Niigaan Sinclair is our Keynote Speaker and the day will include a musical performance by Shibastik.

Information booths by various organizations will be set-up, children’s activities, prizes, and refreshments will be available.

This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. We hope to see you there, rain or shine!
