Drug Bust on South May Street Results in Possession and Breach Charges

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – The Thunder Bay Police Service Intelligence Unit arrested a male Thursday afternoon on South May Street for the possession of a controlled substance. Upon the male’s arrest officers located what they believe to be 60 grams of fentanyl, 88 capsules of hydromorphone and 55 grams of marihuana.

Police also seized $1,800 in currency. A subsequent search warrant resulted in the seizure of 2 pounds of marihuana and $12,500 in currency. The value of the drugs seized is approximately $17,600.

Scott Wilson, 37-year-old of Shuniah is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
  • Breach of Probation
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

Wilson appeared in court this morning and was remanded into custody.
