Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
- Savant Lake – Sturgeon Lake
- Ignace – English River
At 2:26 p.m. CDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, nickel to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.
This severe thunderstorm is located 22 kilometres southwest of Clarkdon, moving east at 60 km/h.
Locations impacted include:
Clarkdon, O’Briens Landing and Silver Dollar.
Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
