Suspect Arrested in Pet Shop Robbery Attempt

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are reporting that the male responsible for the August 19, 2018, attempted robbery at the Thunder Pet store on Mountdale Avenue has been identified and arrested.

Officers with the Community Response Team observed the suspect in this incident in a parking lot on West Frederica Street around 2:00 pm on August 29, 2018.

Police state that officers approached him, confirmed his identity and took him into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to the Balmoral Police Station and was charged with Robbery.

Michael Don McDonald, a 28-years-old male residing in Thunder Bay appeared in court this morning and was remanded into custody.
