MKO Seeks Public Help to Find Missing Woman in Thompson

WINNIPEG – MISSING – The Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO) is requesting public support for a coordinated volunteer search effort for Diane Bignell, who has been missing since May 17, 2018 in Thompson, Manitoba.

The coordinated search effort will take place on August 15, 2018 in Thompson, Manitoba.   The search will be led by Ivan Hart and Wilson Moore who are both trained and experienced in search and rescue techniques. Individuals who would like to volunteer their time or donate items/equipment are asked to contact Ivan Hart at 204-307-5752 or Wilson Moore at 204-679-5154.

Meeting location for volunteers will be in the parking lot at 55 Selkirk Drive (Professional Building) by 7:30 am on August 15, 2018.

Team leads are requesting the following equipment from the public:

  • 50 pcs #14 Hooks
  • 1 Spool of 100ft of floating rope
  • 1 spool of sideline
  • 8 life jackets
  • 6 knives
  • Submersible Camera
  • Sonar equipment for victim recovery
  • 10 Jerry Cans 25 litres each
  • 2 cases of outboard motor oil
  • gas
  • bottled water
  • food
  • bug spray
  • sun screen
  • First Aid kits
  • cooler
  • financial donation
