THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are now asking for the public to assist in identifying a male responsible for a robbery at Alley’s Corner Variety on August 12, 2018, at 10:25 p.m. A male entered the store with his face concealed and used a knife to demand money from the employee. The male fled the scene on foot. The victim was not injured in this incident.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male approximately 5’11” tall with facial hair. He was wearing sunglasses and a grey and black striped shirt with black pants and a black hoodie.
Robbery Update
A third person has been arrested by the TBPS in relation to the robbery that occurred at Alley’s Corner Variety on July 14, 2018.
Stanzel Knox, 24 years old, was arrested on August 11, 2018 just before 11 p.m. and has been charged with robbery using a firearm. He appeared in court over the weekend and was remanded into custody.
Assault in Windsor Complex
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Picton Avenue just before 2:00 a.m. on August 12, 2018 for a weapons call. Officers arrived to find an 18-year-old male inside the residence that had been stabbed.
Angela Jasmin Fenton, 22 years old was arrested at the scene and escorted to the Balmoral Police Station. She appeared in court facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon. She was remanded into custody.
Assault at CLE Grounds
Police were called to the CLE grounds just before 11:00 p.m. on August 12, 2018, on a report of an assault that had just occurred.
Officers arrived to assist an 18-year-old female who had been assaulted by two females who were known to her. The female was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
The two females were located by security personnel on site. Police arrested the 21-year-old and 18-year-old females and escorted them to the Balmoral Police Station.
They have both been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The 21-year-old has also been charged with Breach of Probation.
