LUTSEN MOUNTAINS (July 27, 2018) – Visitors can now capture a sunset over the Sawtooth Mountains at Lutsen Mountains, thanks to new Sunset Sunday gondola rides, now thru Sunday, Oct. 7.
“The view from the top of the mountain has long been popular with wedding photographers, as well as tourists who now can enjoy a snack and a beverage at the Summit Chalet during their gondola ride,” says Jim Vick, marketing director for Lutsen Mountains.
When the rides began on July 8, the sun set at 9 p.m.; by the end of the season (Oct. 7), the sun will go down at 6:29 p.m., so the gondola ride schedule is variable: The last ride up is 15 minutes before sunset, and the last ride down is 15 minutes after sunset
