Sioux Lookout OPP Seek Public Help in Sexual Assault Investigation

SIOUX LOOKOUT – The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the OPP North West Region Crime Unit are requesting assistance from the public to identify a person(s) responsible for a sexual assault.

On July 11, 2018, at approximately 11:16 pm, officers of the Ontario Provincial Police Sioux Lookout Detachment were dispatched to the trail between Queen Elizabeth District High School (QEDHS) and Sutton Place apartment building where they located an injured female laying on the ground. The victim was transported to a local Hospital for treatment and suffered serious injuries. She is currently in stable condition. The investigation revealed that the female had been sexually assaulted.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for the sexual assault should immediately contact the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (807) 737-2020. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.

The investigation is continuing.
