ATIKOKAN – WEATHER – Alert OVER
Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Atikokan and region.

Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
- Atikokan – Shebandowan – Quetico Park
- Upsala – Raith
At 1:26 a.m. EST (2:26 a.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
A cluster of strong thunderstorms 25 km west of upsala is moving east at 60 km/h.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
