ATV Accident Results in Tragedy

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay OPP detachment report on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Superior North Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a collision involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on Mokomon Road, three kilometres west of Highway 11 and 17.

The male driver of the ATV, Larry ROBILLARD (59) of Conmee Township lost control of the ATV resulting in a collision with a hydro pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator also responded to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
