THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – In Northwestern Ontario, there are major transmission projects that are currently at various stages of development. The First Nation representatives of three of these Projects – Wataynikaneyap Power’s 22 First Nation’s North of Dryden Transmission Project, the East-West Tie Transmission Line, with Project partners’ Supercom Industries and its 6 First Nation partners, and the Greenstone Transmission Project, which is being driven by 8 First Nations in the Greenstone region, have teamed up to host a Regional Energy Conference.

On June 13th and 14th, at the Best Western Norwester Hotel and Conference Centre, there will be a Regional Energy Conference. The goal of the conference is to learn about the different transmission projects, share best practices, learn from each other, change the landscape on how we work with industry and build more meaningful relationships/partnerships.
