THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue has lifted the citywide fire ban due to recent improvements in weather conditions. All valid outdoor burning permits are reinstated.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reminds residents that outdoor burning within the City of Thunder Bay requires a permit. Permits are valid for the calendar year in which they are purchased. Permit rules and regulations are strictly enforced, and failure to obtain a permit or follow permit rules will result in prosecution and fine.
