Police Update on Assault on 82-Year-Old Man

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – The Thunder Bay Police Service reports that they have identified and spoken to the two male subjects in the video released yesterday afternoon.

Scotlund Crompton, 19 years old of Thunder Bay was arrested at 11:00 pm on Phyllis Street by officers with the TBPS Community Response Team on outstanding warrants for Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Threats, Theft under $5000, and Breach related charges.

Crompton was escorted to the Balmoral Police Station where he was further charged by investigators with the Criminal Investigations Branch with the Aggravated Assault of the 82-year-old male. He appeared in court this morning on all charges and has been remanded into custody.

The investigators wish to thank the public for assisting with the identification of the persons of interest in the video.
